Professor Peter W. Stoner, in his book, Science Speaks, outlines the mathematical probability of one person in the first century fulfilling just eight of the most clear and straightforward Messianic prophecies as 1 in 10 to the 17th power or (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000). He goes on to state the probability of one person fulfilling 48 prophecies as 1 in 10 to the 157th power. Now take into account there are over 300 such prophecies and one can see the difficulty of any one person fulfilling all of them. Pastor John Watson walks us through a few of these prophesies this week, as a reason to believe the Bible’s claim to truth.
